Aralie.com and Plajia
Winding down the weekend and a day of successful wedding dress shopping with a few tunes and sites that I wanted to pass along.
If you are a new indie artist or just love to hear fresh new indie artists, you should definitely get familiar with the site Aralie.com.
Aralie allows indie artists to register, upload, and sell all your music for free. Music fans can stop by and stream selections from various artists before purchasing, and read album reviews and articles from the site for free as well. Previous Veritas Lux Mea featured artists like Some By Sea have listings on Aralie, so go and check it out.

One of the bands that unfortunately got lost in my inbox a few weeks ago is the Montreal trip-rock band Plajia. They recently released their debut album Bueatiful Explosion on Orange Music, which you can stream select tracks from at their Myspace page.
Plajia has a pretty diverse sound, ranging from retro Radiohead to prog to Pink Floyd. Check out a track from the band below and if you like what you hear, head over to their website and give them some love.

In other news, I picked up a copy of The Watchmen from B&N today, which is a long overdue purchase that is somewhat predicated on the fact that the preview for the upcoming Watchmen movie looked completely badass (not to mention backed by a Smashing Pumpkins tracks). My friend Chris recommended it to me during our time in graduate school but I never got around to reading it thanks to the countless hours spent nose-deep in stuff I didn't want to read, like The Book of Margery Kemp, which I notice is still on my bookshelf, unfortunately.
Anyone know of a good site to sell books?
