The Cops

Still recovering from gorging ourselves on various sorts of fowl and pies over the weekend but wanted to take a minute to mention something about The Cops, a Seattle rock outfit that's really coming on strong to the scene.
Some Press on The Cops...
“On Free Electricity, the Cops' staccato stop-and-go six-string rhythms couple with abusive drumming to create a surprisingly danceable set.” – Spin.com
"The Cops are the Seattle rock act most likely to blow up global-style any minute now. Currently at work on another full-length effort coddled by local rock n' roll sage and apparent busybody Kurt Bloch, The Cops are going to have a tough time staying off everyone's radar real soon."- The Stranger
Featuring members of Hello from Waveland and Black Panties (and a brand-new bass player), the Cops make punk rock reminiscent of HFW’s Replacements-esque jangles but have a sharper edge. Fans of the Clash are strongly encouraged to get arrested." Seattle Weekly
The Cops second full-length record "Free Electricity" is out now as a split release on The Control Group and Mt. Fuji record labels. You can find the record in fine shops across the country or online at retailers like Amazon.
We love their raw, rock sound, and think you will too. But don't discount them for just another garage punk band - Free Electricity is full of depth and layers, like a good California wine. Take a listen to some tracks below:
The Cops - "It's Epidemic"
The Cops - "Terrible Empty Pockets"
The Cops - "Controller"
The Cops - "Invisible City"
